Building & Grounds Maintenance Worker Full Time, Permanent, Non-Exempt Position The City of Sandstone, MN is accepting applications for the permanent, full-time position of Building & Grounds Maintenance Worker. Duties include grounds keeping and maintenance of parks, open space, public buildings and related facilities. Responsible for operating and maintaining a variety of grounds keeping equipment including mowers, weed trimmers and related equipment. Performs immediate semiskilled work maintaining City-owned facilities in a clean, safe and functioning manner. Operates City's composting facility with seasonal hours of Wednesdays 3-5 p.m. and Saturdays 1-4 p.m. Applicant must be at least 18 years of age and have a High School diploma or GED. Previous maintenance experience helpful. Construction related experience helpful. Class D Drivers license required. Minnesota Boilers License required (or ability to obtain within 6 months of hiring). The successful candidate will have demonstrated dependability, responsibility, organization, and self-motivation qualities, as well as the ability to handle contact with employees and the general public with tact and courtesy. This union position has a starting salary of $57,844 - $59,924, depending on qualifications. Benefits include health insurance and personal time off (PTO).
